Abstract

The research aimed to know the effect of an educational program using the differentiated teaching method on learning the skill of the forward somersault on the hands on the jumping table for the third year students of the Faculty of Physical Education for Boys in Zagazig. Where the researcher noticed the poor level of students’ performance of the skill of the forward somersault on the hands on the jumping table, which leads to the deduction of many scores from the students. By providing opportunities for training in decision-making, where the teacher is the main focus in all the details of the lesson, and given the peculiarity of gymnastics in general and the table jumping device in particular, the researcher decided to choose another appropriate teaching method to learn the skill of the front somersault on the hands, which is the contrasting method.
Among the most important results:
1. The educational program using the differentiated teaching method had a positive effect on the students' results in the level of performance of the forward somersault skill on the hands on the jumping table.
2. The traditional program used by the control group, which depends on the method of explanation and model presentation, had a positive effect on the level of performance of the forward somersault skill on the hands on the jumping table.
